Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA)

Prepares students for the position of a medical front office assistant, medical receptionist and scheduler in a variety of healthcare settings.  Graduates are eligible to sit for the national certification exam through NHA as a Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA).

 

Medical Assisting (CCMA)

Prepares students to assume positions as multi-skilled allied health professionals in physician’s offices, clinics, and other outpatient healthcare settings.  Topics covered include administrative skills, nursing and clinical skills, phlebotomy, and EKG.  Graduates are eligible to sit for the national certification exam through NHA as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA).

 

Medical Billing & Coding (CBCS)

Prepares students for positions as medical insurance biller and coders in healthcare offices, physician’s offices, and clinics.  Graduates are eligible to sit for the national certification exam through NHA as a Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS).

 

Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Lectures and clinical instruction are designed to teach the skills, knowledge and abilities essential to provide basic care to patients in acute care and residents of long-term care facilities.  Graduates are eligible to sit for the State of Florida Certified Nursing Assistant examination (CNA). 

 

Patient Care Technician (CPCT)

Prepares students for employment as an advanced cross-trained healthcare professionals adept in the following areas:  nursing assisting, home health care, patient care, phlebotomy, and EKG.  Graduates are eligible to sit for the national certification exam through NHA as a Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT).

 

Pharmacy Technician (ExCPT)

Provides didactic, technical, and practical training that will enable the student to function as a competent pharmacy technician.  Graduates are eligible to sit for the national certification exam through NHA as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).

 

Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)

Prepares students in blood collection, venipuncture, capillary puncture, specimen transport and processing, and safety and quality assurance.  Graduates are eligible to sit for the national certification exam through NHA as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT).

 

Accelerated Programs are available for: 

  • Nursing Assistant – 2 weeks
  • Phlebotomy Technician - 2 weeks
  • EKG Technician - 2 weeks
